10. Visit the Thai Temples-there is one about every half block but remember no tank tops, or shorts-if you are lucky you might get asked in by a monk for a private blessing-free accept for some alms for the monks
9. Take a Natural Dying or Weaving class at Studio Naenna-for all those textile junkies, learn to make some of the gorgeous textiles they sell all over the markets.-about $30 each day
8. Go to a Thai Boxing Match-i recommend Muay Thai, across from Tha Pae gate, its a smaller venue, and boxing in Chiang Mai costs about a third less than in Bangkok-about $12 for regular tickets
7. A night at the Sunday Night Market (centered around Tha Phae Gate)-Textile junkies, Foodie junkies, Cheap Plastic Stuff Afficionados-I have found your new heaven-$0-$500
6. A night out drinking at Pinte Blues Club, 33 Thanon Moonmuang-A easy going place forĀ  great music and booze without the hookers-about $3 for a 40oz of Singha
5. Get a Thai Massage-a great one every half block for US $6-you would be an idiot not to
4. Eat Khao Soi, lots of it wherever you can (its chicken, or your choice of meat, with dry and wet noodles in a curry sauce, but you can only find it in Chiang Mai-so get your hands on it while you can-$2
3. Take a Thai Cooking Class-It is serious fun, and cost effective for those of you that have a Thai delivery on your speed dial-$30
2. Visit a Fish Spa-and since we are talking about food, a fish spa is where hundreds of tiny fish feast on the dead skin on your feet-for exfoillation, and better circulation-at once of the most horrifying and fascinating things ever-$3 for 15 min
1. VISIT THE ELEPHANT NATURE PARK-if I have taught you nothing, do this.
